Pam Joplin

Fiction / Pop Fiction┬áReader – Fall 2015

An aspiring writer from a young age, Pam wrote sporadically for several years, but only started writing seriously about a decade ago, after enrolling in her first workshopping class. She is primarily a novel-length thriller/crime fiction writer, but has recently been working on several shorter fiction pieces.

In her third semester of the Stonecoast popular fiction MFA program, Pam enjoys reading widely in her genre, with some of her favorite authors being David Baldacci, Lee Child, Robert Crais, and Harlan Coben. Her educational credits include a B.S. in Zoology from URI and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Washington. She works part-time as a pharmacist in a hospital retail setting and also as a pharmacist on a federal medical disaster team based out of Massachusetts.

Pam is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for eight and a half years as a communications officer. Her interests include anything dog-related, hiking, and biking. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband, four dogs, and two cats
