Dear Readers,

What do you get when you combine amazing writers with a team of Stonecoast students dedicated to sifting through the many, many submissions in search of delicious pieces?  Well, you get the recipe for Issue No. 4.  Then, you sprinkle on the finishing touches from a group of editors devoted to savoring those submissions with exceptional zest. Finally, the product emerged, well cooked and ready to be devoured by every reader with a taste for distinguished literature.

We thank the Stonecoast students who started this journal two years ago and acknowledge the commitment of our mentors in showing us the beautiful work of so many writers.  The most difficult part in putting together this journal was not having space for so many fine pieces. The Stonecoast Review received more submissions for Issue No. 4 than any previous reading period, and this is our lengthiest issue to date. We are proud to serve our readers an assortment of superior artistic talent.

We hope you’ll come back for second helpings with our Summer issue in 2016.  For the writers among you, send us your best work—we’d love to feature it in our next edition.

Finally, a special thank you to our faculty who submitted their own pieces – the icing atop each genre.  Dig in!
